Paths of the Wandering Insects
This game is free when you purchase - Insect homes and habitats - Homes of the Tiny Titans Quest
A story-led adventure through the hidden homes of the insect world
Step into the Vale and join Odysmir on a woodland quest to guide lost insects safely back to the habitats where they belong.
Paths of the Wandering Insects is a nature-inspired learning game that blends storytelling, strategy, movement, and ecological understanding into a calm, engaging adventure for children.
As players travel through Whispering Woods, Petalpath Garden, Pebble Pond, and the Beetlebound Log, they begin to understand how different insects depend on very different homes to survive.
🌍 What learners will explore
How different insects belong to different habitats
Why ponds, logs, flowers, and woodland floors are vital ecosystems
The challenges insects face in the natural world (weather, predators, food, terrain)
Careful decision-making, route planning, and problem-solving
Empathy and respect for the small lives often unnoticed around us
🎲 How it works
Players take on the role of woodland guides, helping wandering insects return home. Using Insect-to-Habitat cards, learners must navigate the winding paths of the Vale, responding to discoveries and challenges along the way.
Green spaces bring helpful discoveries. Pink spaces bring environmental challenges. Each journey is different, encouraging discussion, strategy, and observation rather than fast-paced competition.
The twist: after guiding each insect home, players must return to Odysmir’s Hut before setting off again, just as real insects must carefully navigate their environments.
